Bake off

I have been loving this year's Great British Bake Off. Last week was sweet dough week and I was inspired to make some buns.
Looked in my cookery books but could not find what I was looking for so scoured the net. Pinterest is full of pumpkin recipes and lots called for  a mystery ingredient "pumpkin pie spice"  I wonder if anyone knows what this is?
Anyway Bakingmad.com had lots of ideas and this afternoon I made a batch of Chelsea Buns - lovely, but quite filling!

Not been feeling too great this week, been feeling dizzy and sick, seems that I have had a virus.  Been feeling tired too, but found that sitting still and knitting seems to help!  Half a sock and this little pumpkin done.

Hi Lizzy. Pumpkin pie spice is just a mixture of the usual suspects. Cloves cinnamon ginger. Some use a bit of all spice or mace. If hou use what you would normally use in a pumkin pie you will be fine. As I cannot at present get into my blog due to moving I will post anonymously. Jean from Manitoba, Canada

Oh thank you!
Jean, I don't "normally" make pumpkin pie, we don't really or that in uk! I tried once years ago and it was a horrible watery flavourless thing. I am thinking of trying again!

Lizzy, I hope that by the time you get this you are back to yourself and completely healed up. I hate being sick and I hope you're better!
I absolutely adore that little pumpkin! I love the color of orange so this time of year makes me happy :)
Have a great Sunday,
